How to Open a Data Set

First start with a new .
Choose the load text file menu.

Choose your data set:

Choose your columns:

You can have several rows for non-data items, one or more rows for column headings, and various columns for the data. You should not usually have to change anything. Then add this track to the window.

Menus, Keyboard Shortcuts, and Mouse Moves

If you do not see all of the windows, use the F2 key to raise them all and put them on the screen. See Auto Raise for more information.

Menus

Once the data are loaded, there are several things you can do with the mouse and key board.

Process->Align->How to Align

You can align a set of tracks by picking it using your middle mouse button to set a reference point. After that, you can right click the corresponding point or feature on the track to be aligned. Continue holding the right mouse down, and move it up and down, watching the correlation window.
When that window peaks, you have a match.
You must immediately register your match by pressing the enter key.
If you want to abort the match, immediately hit the delete key.

You can save your work at any time by saving the current session. Then, by restoring your session at a later time, you can resume.

Process->Composite->How Manage Composites

You may start an alignment process by First completing the alignment process.
You then choose which core's to move to the composite canvas by cmd (or control) right clicking that core.
Then that core will move to the right window. will choose the last cut point, which will then be moved to the composite.
You can save your work at any time by saving the current session. Then, by restoring your session at a later time, you can resume. See Session Save as Default for details.

Process -> How to Clip->How to Clip

The clipping process occurs after the composite process. After you initiate the clipping process, you need to set a cut point by choosing it with the middle mouse button.
Then choose the next core that will fill in after that cut point.
Continue clip and fill until you are done.
You can save your work at any time by saving the current session. Then, by restoring your session at a later time, you can resume.

Show Composite Vertically Key Ctrl-v Show the current logs vertically.
Show Composite Horizontally Key Ctrl-h Show the current logs horizontally.
Hide Composite Key Ctrl-u Show/Hide the composite window.
Live update Key Ctrl-L Update both windows together.

Mouse Keys: Here are the various mouse actions.
Left Mouse Show the current coordinates of the active track. Used when tracks overlap.
Cmd Left Mouse or Middle Mouse Make a track active. (Items such a Change Track Color are applied to the active track.
Right Mouse Extract the chosen section to this track. Cmd Right Mouse: Extract the chosen section to the other track.

Keyboard Shortcuts

I use ctrl for PC. The Mac version is the cmd key.
